History...New Beginning Church of God (NBCOG), Inc. began on August 1, 1999, with a group of enthusiastic believers from varied backgrounds who met to form a Bible-centered church. Since the new mission would be one of faith and new encounters, the new body named itself New Beginning Church of God. The group met for five weeks in the Richard Murphy Community Center located in the Neponset area of Boston and later relocated to our current address at 500 Talbot Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124. Since our inception, New Beginning has sought to strengthen believers so that they can reach and challenge a generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to excellence in teaching and in providing reasoned answers in a manner simple enough for everyone to understand NBCOG has a vibrant children’s ministry built on the belief that learning should be fun and that we need to lay a spiritual foundation for the next generation. Children receive instruction in art, drama and bible lessons that are age appropriate, relevant and Scriptural. As we continue to grow, NBCOG has not lost sight of its core purposes. We continue to underscore the need for caring and serving each other. We have adopted the words of Jesus spoken at The Last Supper to his disciples, I am among you as one who serves (Luke 22:27). In addition we have built a teaching ministry on the belief that we should “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks …. with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15) New Beginning is committed to meeting the spiritual, physical, and relational needs of all people. Our objective is to be a church to each other and the community where authentic relationships are stressed and encouraged. We are confident that as we continue to grow deeper that God will strengthen our lives and give us the courage to reach the world, one life at a time. |
